Rathlin energy are trying to extend their oil and gas drilling in Yorkshire, masses of oil, the biggest on shore oil wells in the UK and apparently a lot more to be pumped out!

Should be fun for Yorkshire, all those lovely pollutants going into the ground to get the oil and gas out, now rumour has it they're looking at the moors etc for more oil, what a fantastic view that will be, loads of work in Yorkshire through the oil company, oil tankers trundeling across the county and big oil rigs/pumping stations making the view so much better!

Just because you’ve got oil doesn’t mean you’ve got either petrol or diesel, depends what the oil is actually composed of as to what use and value it will be.

The last project I was involved with was gas separation with a cyclone, to obtain the gas we were pumping liquid nitrogen into the well, to increase the pressure to push the product out. The nitrogen was liquified by a cryogenic plant onboard. Not exactly a nasty chemical being as 80% of the atmosphere is nitrogen.
