XP slow down

anyone experienced a slow down in xp operating system...

i have for 2/3 weeks, i found this info on aol tech board,

a microsoft patch under the name of Q811493 (not a critical patch)

to check if you've got this go to control panel, add/remove progs,
and look for hot fix Q811493

if you've been experiencing a slow down i would recommend remove it until microsoft patch the patch,

iv'e just removed it and i'm flying again,

thanks teepee, been wondering whats been going
on the last couple of weeks, as i do not know
much about computers, i have followed you instructions and things have gone back to normal

mine is a copy xp so daren`t go to site last time I did I ended up with all sorts of problems.....probably put there by ms. So this time I have stayed clear and all seems ok............for now lol

I should be careful who you are telling about using copied software Haydn..... walls have ears!!!
Mind you though you've only exposed yourself to about half the worlds population so i wouldn't worry to much!!! lol
