Here's some results,

There were 18 weights over 1 kilo and 27 dry nets. Will Raison and Stuart Conroy won their sections and top tens by the other 3 meant they beat France by 8 points on Day 2, Italy by 26.5 and Yugoslavia by 71.5! The overall result was as follows :
England 68 points
France 72 points
Italy 87 points

England team on the day :
Bob Nudd 0.245kg 9 points
Steve Gardner 1.880kg 2 points
Will Raison 5.100kg 1 point
Alan Scotthorne 0.795kg 6 points
Stuart Conroy 1.040kg 1 point

2001 World Champion is Umberto Ballabeni of Italy who had a 3rd on day 1 and a section win on day 2. He won on weight from Piotr Lorenc of Poland who had a 1st and a 3rd also, but weighed in 4.085kg against 4.950kg for Ballabeni. Best placed English anglers were Will Raison in 8th and Steve Gardner in 9th, both on 9 points.
