Winter has arrived !

This sunday, the 13th sees the first match of "The mighty Oak AC's" winter silvers series

bench is cleared, rig and hooklength line in plentiful supply, a plethora of shot and stotz, hooks, feeders of every type and description, new laccys, bungs, stonfo's waiting to be fitted

groundbaits, pellets, cans of corn, in the big old plastic box,

hemp and tares purchased and awaiting stewing

rods, poles and whips out ready for a wipe down

reels sat sitting, lineless, awaiting new threads of nylon

prep really starts in earnest today

doesnt seem 5 minutes since last year, shot bye really quickly this annum

I'm the opposite Mick, apart from Scribe's match on Sunday and the MD fur and feather that's me done until Easter; I'm a fair weather angler nowadays.

River near me is now free of weed and canals worth a try now there's no boats.

I tend to start fishing the canal after the October half term. Last busy week for the hire boats.

As for Winter. Currently working in the garden in shorts. Far too warm for jeans yet.
