I'm in the process of sussing out solid all round ground bait mixes for the colder months for use generally with a cage feeder. I was thinking the two on the left, black magic and frenzied hempseed for river feeder fishing. And the two on the right, betaine green and swim stim silver fish dark mixed 50/50 for commercials.

Again I'm just looking to catch anything, but would love to know some thoughts and opinions for you?
Cheers.

Look like good mixes to me. My tackle shop has loads of groundbait, a full aisle dedicated to them so I like to experiment. I asked my dad to pick me up some Sonubaits F1 for tomorrow as the venue I'm fishing only allows Sonubaits or Angling Bait Company and he got a bag of F1 sweet. First time I've used it, usually preferring F1 Green as it's a bit darker for this time of year.

I also had a lot of fish using the Dynamite Baits competition bagging mix, and also the marine halibut and hemp. Both groundbaits from the big fish range. I also use the brown and red crumb when required.

I use So-Simple baits mate throughout the winter 9CFBB034-B1C3-4171-AA11-D87362D2D08D.jpeg 1934AFE7-3588-4BF7-8A50-D51308132C93.jpeg 8A1A0D71-80CC-4581-A301-16CC77489B46.jpeg . I just use different blends from the range , that way it keep things easy, as the selections available in tackle shops, from all different companies is mind blowing ?

been using Andys stuff on and off for a while, found it very good

Great stuff mate, I like to blend the black with the FA 1,and 2 for pole fishing, F1,s,carp,skimmers,etc in winter, and the black with some dark chocolate orange or green for a bit of feeder fishing ...I really like the boost juices , ready prepared micros and hookbaits as well ??

A mix of Sensas Black Bremes and Sensas explosive lake used to work really well for me but that was back 15yrs ago - I have no idea if fish tastes will have changed in that time.

Thanks very much chaps. Sounds like I'm not completely going in the wrong direction ? I'm still learning these things such as; no fishmeal based groundbait for wild river fish (as they aren't used to it like commercial fish) etc. I'll crack on with these combos and see how I do for now.

I deal direct with the company, well Andy Seery , although they do stock at a few outlets, they’re based in Devon ?
Hi Gazza.

Thanks for that. I’m guessing being in Devon his products don’t come this far North. Shame that as they look good. Wouldn’t mind trying something new. Cheers mate. ?

Yes I've seen the gear when I've been in so I can confirm that. Before his heart surgery Colin was a regular visitor to Stafford moor
