Was Today the windiest day ever?,i visited 4 venues & did'nt
bother fishing.Either i'm getting too old(38),or its windier
now than when i was younger!.Am i mad?,i bought 2 pts of whites
on weds, lovingly turned them to 1 1/2 pts of fantastic casters,
purchased pinkies, ect, ect, used 15euro of diesel driving around
lokking for somewhere sheltered to wet a line, found nowhere
suitable,fed the birds & went home!,sounds familiar?,still i'll do
it all again next week, will you?

I think you're right, end of October is getting predictably windy. Has been for the last 3 years for sure. I spent most of the day proping up my apple tree.[:(!]

Fishermen have more fun than people do!

According to the forecasters the wind was slighty slower than 1990 and 1987. Over 100mph then

chill out go fishing

Going home was your safest bet Lprekorn, theres no fun in chasing a brolly across two cow fields.

Well, for me i dont care what the conditions are as long as im fishing! Obviously warm, overcast and still are prefered. I just stick to the feeder in wind and keep the rod low. Then Huddle under the brolly wrapped up nice n warm. [;)]

Tight lines [:D]

granjuiceymoose;I would rather chew my own foot off, than stare at the
end of a rodtip,feeder fishing?-keep it!,though if you enjoy it,fair enough.Today was great here,but i was under orders-bloody typical!.
