Oh go on then I'll let out the secrets

Location: West of York 2 miles on the A59 on the right hand side of the road behind some tall fir trees.
Lake Info: Man made pond of 1 acre, single island in middle at 11-15mtrs
Average depths: Entrance 2-6ft, Left Bank 2-6ft deepening to 9ft in places,
Top pegs 1.5-5ft, Right Bank 1-6ft

Fish Info: Carp, Wells catfish and most other coarse species.
Local Tackle Shop: Acomb Tackle Shop, York
Hot spots: At this time of year on shelf rising to island and in top-left pegs. Generally all pegs have a chance
Top baits: Maggot, worm, corn but fished lightly
Few snags but carp know them !
Access to pegs: Reasonably good, all pegs have easy access and are permanent. There is a small car park with a short walk to the lake. Wheel chair access is fair but plenty of volunteers.
Portaloo on site
Bait bans: Groundbait, nuts, boilies, method feeders dead/livebaits. At last visit all others allowed
Barbless hooks only, maximum size allowed = 10, no braid hooklengths
Contact: Cath or Paul Gallagher - 01904 738206

I don't know Haydn, I suppose so but it'll be up to the owners. Braid hooklengths are banned on some waters as they can be more abrasive than mono leading to mouth cuts.

If you fish braid and look as though you might win, we'll report you [:D] - dis qualification oooh er

Good luck to all you guys that are fishing.

Let's hope that the recent mild spell means the fish are filling up before the next cold spell comes along.

Hope you all bag up lads.
