Just been to visit my local angling shop and its full of mainly Shimano rods and many reels too. Anything wrong with the gear or is it that MD'ers just think there is better VFM stuff available?

I've got a couple Slick and Stu bought three so they can't be all that bad [;)]

For piking though I'd suggest you stick with the 2.5lb TC ones as they are ideal [:)]

Bargain basement: Get two halves for the price of one

I must say it was easier to get in my car in two pieces, how you're supposed to drive with it all in one is beyond me [8)]
