Hi all, you had better be carefull when taking bait / groundbait to any EU country in the event of a hard brexit.
At present you can cross borders no problem.
In the event of a hard brexit you may need health certificates for live or products of animal origin.
You may also need to pay duty and vat on an import entry into EU, an export entry out of UK is also a possibility!

Before posters kick off - I am a customs specialist and I dont even know.
I will ask customs on my weekly brexit call this week to get their view and the question raised!

Go dark groundbait also add turbo when fishing the rivers on feeder.Don't understand problem with taking grounbait over if you use van den eynde products it all from the eu but brown or white crumb with no label on how do they know where its from.Rivers in Koerberg area are near top of banks at the moment.

Returned last week from a week in Molengroet and had a reasonable time.
Catches of bream and roach up to 77 lbs on the Saakevaart canal fishing the feeder on the wide area and bags up to 53 lbs on the pole when the wind allowed. Caught well at the stumps, struggled a bit on the canal at Nieuwe Niedorp after a hard frost but we still both managed double figures.
Lots of other really good looking places but just not enough time, hope to get back there in September.

I only fish in Koerberg area and tend to use Gold Pro and Turbo for feeder work the turbo darkens the mix. The Ijssel river as one hell of a flow on it at times[100grm + feeders ] so the turbo gets the bait down on the lakes its mainly to darken the mix and you can use some brown crumb in it to cut the cost.Hope this helps you Leebo.
