Third time in the last six weeks, and I've seen a red kite near home.

First time was 100 yards down the road from home, second time was flying low over a nearby road and today the bird was sighted riding the thermals whilst I sat in the back garden.

Looks like they're here to stay.

:)

spanky,

Not too many down this way but on the M40 between High Wycombe and Oxford/Bicester you see loads.

Got a few regular Buzzards down here - nice sight.

Plenty of predators means everything else is doing well [:)]

Just South of the M40 by High Wycombe there is a field where a local club fly radio controlled planes. Some of the members fly 'powered' gliders, using an engine to get up in the thermals and to control a landing later.

Often the birds start zooming at the gliders....amazing sight !

In my honest opinion grown men saying or even shouting 'WHOOP' should be castrated, and banished from the land of men forever[;)]
