The Scrumpy Jack drinker did a round trip of 480 miles, not as far as some think. Whenever you mention you drive down from Scotland some people think it is the end of the earth. Only takes 8 hours to drive to Hastings.

Ah, but you're a self-confessed dhl man !

Everybody knows that dhl man is able to drive at twice the speed limit with total impunity!

its 40 miles for me thats 2 gallons of petrol for the trip there and back thats a tenner that i`ll never have again but looking on the bright side some of the journey is down hill so i can take it out of gear and coast it for about 2-3 miles, that makes me happy knowing that i`m saving a bit of money and doing my bit to save the enviroment.

I'll just win the prize for the longest return trips to the Jinx series, MDs individual and Fayes match on May 3rd.

Richard, you haven't got to do 50 miles round that bloody M25 then use the snail trail called the A21 to Hastings. Plus I never, ever break the speed limit.[:p]

From work in London to home in Norfolk - 120 miles.

Norfolk to M180 Travel Lodge - 140 miles.

Travel Lodge to Lindholme x 4 (fished again on Sunday) - 40-ish miles.

Return to Norfolk, dropped off kids and kit, then back to London - 260 miles.

So, a respectable 560+ miles on the clock. Must admit we got lucky road-wise; car went well, no roadworks or hold-ups for a change!

Roll on next year's match...... [:T]

20mile round trip for me, I didn't fish because I was working in the afternoon. But it was worth the trip down to see people before the draw
