Been to Hemington (Rycroft) today, on Ye Olde Canal.
Started off first hour on the waggler rod and had a few roach on dead reds.
Next, half hour on the tip. First chuck, the tip went round straight away and in came a small tinca, caught on double corn.
The rest of the day I was on the far bank and caught mostly tench with roach, couple of skimmers, a decent bream around the 2lb mark, and a nice little perch. Bait was dead reds or corn, never had a bite on pellet. Never had a carp either which for me ain’t a bad thing. Much prefer to guess what’s coming in next, plenty of time for carp in matches

Enjoyable day, first time out since Dec. 27th and even sat in my T-shirt for a couple of hours, it was that warm
