popped over there tonight.
no one was catching, except my mate with one tench.
it looked perfect ,not bright but warm with a ripple.
so i thought wot the hell and set my pole up.
had spent 5 mins telling the bloke on the other side of the lilies how to fish, so there was a bit of pressure but i was confident.
dropped half a worm into some tench bubbles and within 5 mins had landed a tench of about 5lb.
smug moi ?
twenty minutes without a bite so i fed some more pellets( 2mm marine ones)
decided to change bait to vde juicy pellets .
5 more mins and a tench of about 1.5lb is in the net.
another put in and the float dips again, its a tench of about 1lb
I'm thinking much more of this and they are gonna still have the egg attached.
float dips again and after what seemed like an age a fighting fit and very angry 13lb4oz mirror graces the net.
all in all not a bad hour and a half s fishing

i'll have a fiver on the brown one
