which pole float for.....

Im after some opinions on a pole float that will work well for fishing for bream at around 10 metres in 6foot of water which is usually very choppy with an undertow too.
bait is usually expanders,small cubes of meat and corn.
basically which pattern float should i be using and what weight?
also should i be laying a few inches on the bottom when fishing an undertow or would you go even more overdepth?[:W]

carpa chimp either a 4x12 or 4x16 if its really choppy youll need 4 pole float rubbers on though or you will bend the stem.

KC Carpa Gent, similar to the Chimp but has a longer bristle so its easier for you to read bites when its choppy

Foot of line on the bottom if the tow is that much with a string of 3-4 No.8 shot on the deck, 0.75/1 g float. Personally I don't know how much the actual shape/name matters.
