which hook for paste???

Hi all i was wondering which hook size is best for paste fishing, its a big bait so do you use a big hook or a small hook and hide it well.....???? which do you do?

i usually use a size 12 kamazan b911 always if im going for fish above 3lb
if not and there will b F1's around ill use a size 14 kamazan b911

both work very well

I use Animal aswell as they are one bloomin' strong hook [] again in sizes 10 or 12 unless im roach/skimmer fishing which case i use 14 or 16

It all depends on th size of fish you are expecting, when i`m expecting big fish i use size 10 mustad eyed method feeder barbless. I do tend to use the biggest hook i can get away with though.

try to get away with as big a hook as posible, but for the main part of my paste fishing i use a size 12 B911.
somtimes if im catching smaller fish like skimmers then i`ll scale down to a 14 B911

Craig, the best way to guage the size of the hook mainly depends on how soft the paste is you are using. The softer the paste the smaller size of hook you can get away with, The Preston PR28 in the summer and Kamasan B911 in the winter are my chosen hook patterns.
