So it'll soon be June the 16th. Do you have any special plans for the first day of the new season?. And where will you be fishing?
I've got a match first thing sunday morning on the River Soar which will most likely be a nice morning doing some dry netting
.
Then it'll be off to my own stretch of river to hopfuly catch some nice river Carp, Bream few Tench etc etc. But Knowing my luck ill be dry netting again

Hi sfk,

All being well I'm hoping to get up on the Swale around the Helperby area and with a bit of luck start hitting the Chub that Stu and I kept seeing most of last year but couldn't fish for due to the foot & mouth.
The 16th is a Sunday as well so no excuses,

Regards, Dave

Hi sfk,

I won't be able to fish until the 17th (due to work) and as i don,t fish the close season i am counting down the days on the old fridge door. I will be looking for the big bronze slabs that glide through the water and come gracefully to the net. Or failing that anything else i can catch.

tight lines

Hi Daz -- Well another friend of the River Tees...good to see ....well then havent made up my mind yet might be going to Broken scar for a night trip or go to Croft early morning for a bread flake day session....will let you know nearer the time ok....

If you fancy coming with me anytime let me know ok....will be spending alot of time trying for a barbel at Broken scar at night its eerie as hell but well worth the real clonking takes from the chub on cheese and meat....

Roll the 16th June. Been down the river today clearing some pegs plus mowing the grass. At about 6pm just as it was cooling off abit the Carp started to feed on some flies. They were coming right out the water like whales was great to watch. If only it were the 16th June.

whats happening on the 16th?
i'm that used to fishing all year round that it is embedded in my mind that the 16th is just another day.
Am i mad or are there thousands like me?

I shall be on the water at 3.30 am on the 15th June.
On the way to Ireland!

Unfortunately, have to fit in with wifes holiday and tour Limerick and Donegal for the 1st non-fishing week!
BUT 2nd week 22nd to 29th, back in Cavan, armed with all the info from this Belturbet forum lol.

Hoping to meet Adam S then and make up for the lost week!

Cheers
