Sorry to be serious, but either my eyesight is fading or there is a big problem. I live in Newcastle upon Tyne and love to go on family walks where there are rivers, so I can play 'spot the fish'.

Well, this year I have been to all the normal haunts, River Allen (tributory to the Tyne), River Wansbeck, The river that runs through Grasmere and Ambleside in Cumbria.....and seen no fish.I've sat on the bridges since I was a little kid watching trout in these places. I can only suggest that the pesticides etc that were sprayed around, (during F&M) the agricultural lands found their way into the rivers and killed everything off. Anyone up here found the same?
