hi everyone
im looking for a rod and reel for anything up to 120.00
they dont have to come together i can buy them seperately
dont really want a baitrunner reel... thats about it really what is your advice on what to buy thanks![:)]

what type of rod and reel? Float rod, feeder rod, front drag reel, rear drag reel? You have kinda made it a bit vague.

sorry,, errm ok probably a float rod and maybe one of the more compact ones not the huge 15 feet ones also quite a soft tip but this doesnt matter too much and either type of reel, the biggest fish i might possibly catch is a 18lb carp but i doubt that, just a rod and reel which will do the job for most fish really ... hope this helps

120 is a lot of money for "just a rod and reel".

Have a look at some of the cheaper rods and reels or older models going cheap. Here's a couple of ideas.....

2 reels, float rod, feeder rod for less than 100. Very useable gear that will last for years.
The quality of some modern "budget" gear is awesome.

hmmmm thats made me think that maybe instead of buying expensive stuff i could buy cheaper stuff that will work just as well and save up for something else too thanks pole addict

Take a trip to a tackle shop, tell them you need some advice about buying a rod and reel. Where you intend to use it ,ask their advice about what tactics to use. and which rod and reel will do the job.

i know one is a feeder/ledger rod , but 2 good rods and a half decent reel .....[:T][:T][:T]
