What size float rubber is suitable for fine wire-stemmed floats?

I thought my 0.6mm would do the job but it's as slack as a slack thing

Can you get 0.4mm or even 0.2mm?

I used to use this

That would mean Dave parting with his hard earned. Doesn’t anyone do some for free. You know he’s got a dicky ticker when it comes to parting with the foldy stuff. 🤣👍

Fine wire stemmed floats ? Doesn’t sound like Alders does that Dave. Ya trying your hand at gudgeon bashing on the cut ? 🤔

I've a match on Saturday and it's either silvers or picking out small'ish Carp which judging by the weather could be anywhere in the top of the water.

When I started tying my own rigs I bought this: Nufish Pole Float Silicon Boxed

I can't remember what I used for the wire stemmed floats, but they were super tight or super slack. It seemed as if the float (drennan SF of some type - id have to look) was inbetween silicon sizes. Can be done in any case, but with care.

Many thanks for your kind offer - I've just put a click & collect order in to BobCo though for tomorrow :)

I'm just hoping it's not got the Matrix branding all down the length though ;)

If that doesnt get there the extra 0.20 or 0.22 works ,you can leave it the full length of wire stem and just thread one piece of silicone at a time along with rig line ,ive done it lol

It's not really a commie in the true sense of the word - more a mixed, predominantly silvers, lake
