I'm just wondering what method of pike fishing would be best in rivers at this time of the year, ledgering, sink and draw or what?

Hi Jason and welcome on board [:)]

I'd be inclined to leger but with just enough weight to hold the bottom. Give it 15-20 minutes and move the weight so that the current drags it downstream a yard or two before it re-settles. Leave it 15-20 minutes again and then repeat.

Once you've covered that section at different widths, move down to the next swim and try again.
I say move down because your bait will have sent a scent trail downstream so it would help attract the pike and you'd be moving towards any

if the flow is not to hard ,i would suggest 1 rod ledgerd & trot the other down under a pencil float at different depths/ widths

tight lines.
