Up earlyish to take him out for an emptying and a tad of exercise

going out the door, showed a leaden sky, far far different to the past week, where its been 20 degrees of dry heat by 8am, far more of a breeze pushing through too, not unpleasant, just fresh

both of us, man and dog sniffed the air, and exchanged glances in the way two old mates silently communicate, rain coming later they thought

off up the road, serious sniffing and checking of wee-mails going on until we were past the rail crossing and heading for the field, will be a bit more running done in these cooler temps they thought, the chucky ball was nestled in the pocket of the the taller one of the pair ready

arriving at the destination, the leads slipped and off the hairy one goes, lopping around in delight, ball chucked and fetched a few times

the tall one sits on a fave perch and searches for the baccy tin, opening it, and out comes a rizla, filling it full of the dark aromatic weed, a plip is felt on the rollers head, followed by another and yet another

within a minute of that first drop, its hoofing down, that fat heavy warm summer rain,

drenched on the walk back, and it stops a hundred yards from the shelter of the home

in, and a drying up for the black dog and a change of clothes for me

now awaiting to start a bit of the garden building work that was planned for the day

There was a bloody great thunderstorm storm over the channel at about that time.
Saw it on lightning maps.org

Its cooler and cloudy on Suffolk coast, may go for a dangle later.
Blanked yesterday evening with both lure rod (Perch) and gun.

Heavy rain and Thunder and lightening over night and earlier this morning in South East Wales, not raining at the minute but looking at the sky it is only a matter of time before we get another downpour

Nice bit of respite from the heat here today even if it hasn't started raining desperately needed on this slow stretch of the Severn I've started fishing.

Was a lovely day here yesterday with the temps back down into the mid 20s like the week before rather than the 30s of the 6 days in between. Pretty grim today though. Only had a little rain so far but looks as if you could get a soaking at any minute as it’s rather dark and very windy. Not cold though still over 20.

Played golf yesterday
Shorts n tshirt on.
Got out of the car, (it said 22C) felt a fresh breeze and was wondering if i would need a jumper and trousers!
Weird
A few weeks ago 22C would be mankini weather (for some 🤔)
