Have a look at the Dwarf Range... they do a 1.75lb 9' rod if I remember correctly

I have a pair of 2.75lb 9' Dwarfs and they are tough as old boots... the Scopes may be lighter with better carbon, but they are brittle with a lot of users reporting broken tips... to my mind they are not worth the extra £100+

If you can find one, Drennan do a 1.75lb 8' Spinning rod which makes a cracking margin, stalking rod

These rods I’m looking for, are for Tench and Crucians, as an alternative which do you think would be better suited

You'd be better off with an 11 foot pellet waggler for both... the 2lb rods are too heavy for crucians and tench...

Greys Prodigy TXL Specimen 11ft 1lb t/c might be ideal, similar action to a pellet waggler but can also cast leads.
