venue help

just had a call form a mate, who is looking for specimen venues in the Yorkshire region. I would say anywhere within 90mins of Doncaster.
day ticket venues would be prefered I think any suggestions are welcome with as much info on the venues as possible, thanks

A1 pits newark (think thats less than 90)

6 pits and the trent.

5 a day upto 4 rods

I'm from newark originally and got family there so keep meaning to have a go at a1 pits. Not a speccy man but fancy a crack at the perch, maybe the bream.

Take it the perch fall to legered lob worm? Might give it a shot in a few weeks time.

actually NO, believe this or not, it was caught up in a bag and was landed by a carp angler on pit 5 and was weighed at just over 5lb [:0]

bream lake is pit 4, rather deep

Tyram Fisheries next to Lindholme Prison, I am not a specimen angler but seen fish come out of the speci pool. Big un's too. Have a look at their website www.tyramfisheries.co.uk

This is a club worth looking at midge, thttp://www.hdaafishing.co.uk/page18.html they have a lot of water to go at with some cracking fish in. I think the season ticket is around 25, about the price of a weeks day ticketing.

they will be mate, but 90mins from donny i have no idea other than A1... theres cromwell but that aint for you.

Clearwater Lakes, just outside Ranskill.
Beautiful setting, parking at every peg (100+ pegs).
Carp to 30+lbs, roach, bream, tench, perch, huge head of Ide.

Higham farm in chesterfield about 1 hour from donny 4 lakes to go at not sure on ticket prices as i fished a couple of matches on there but there is a specimen lake on there carpers only big carp into high twentys a couple o lads on here have posted about it ..

Depends on what you're after, but Alderfen fisheries just outside Wroot has a Speci lake with some big Perch, roach, tench and rudd.

Forgot to mention, its a fiver a day for the Speci lake, tenner if you're night fishing.
