Universal top Kits???

Is it worth buying them or is it better to stick to the makers top kits? Just wondering, because they tend to be cheaper than the makers ones!

Generic Power Top 2 for my Maver Pole are 76

Universial Power Top 2 BY MAVER are 30

Simple choice realy.[][][]

3 of my match top kits are Uni's and there is no difference to the generic kit's.

Likewise with the power tops infact the Uni's are stronger.

It's a bit of a no brainer really,One word of advice though,stick to a reputable company's Universal Kits,they may be a couple of quid dearer than a No Brand one but will generally be of better quality.
The Maver Uni power top 2's make great cupping kits as well.[]

Any maver stockist will have them or will get them for you or if nobody local to you then try Tiny as i'm sure he stock them.

The new Middy Uni match top 3's arn't bad either for 25 but they are hard to get for some reason at the moment.

Malc; the match kits from my old maver apocalypse fit directly onto my sc1, so am i correct in thinking that the universal maver power top 2's will fit aswell[?].
If they do, it looks like i will be saving a bit of cash[]

is it best to take your pole to the shop and try the top kits
in case the universal is no were near a goog fit

as i have a damm pole and a mapp pole
and i dont think i could ever get the top sections of one pole to fit another

on a lot of the winter venues i fish its mostly silvers in up to 4-5ft of water well my diawa poles came with 1 match top 3 & 3 long power top 2s well the power top 2s are to long for my winter fishing so i got the uni power top 2s from used tackle whisch i found were a lot shorter by the time ide cut the no2 sect to fit on my no4 i had about 6ft 6ins left i found these were ideal for elastics down to a number 3 through & only cost me 10 each, also cut one to same lenght for cupping set
