Nope you're wrong, you read this thinking that it was to be the start of a new title that would be snapped up and placed on Amazon faster than Norm making a useless reply to a thread []

This book is a bookies book -

What the odds on Geoff returning from a day's fishing with Jacko without

a) Throwing him in
b) Running around the lake screaming silly things hopping on one leg
c) Vowing to never offer his services to mankind again and retiring to the hills of Wales lol

Or:

a) Having a really fun day and reliving his youth
b) Learning how to text talk
c) Deciding to take up teaching as a living []

It's only a bit of fun and no offense intended to either one

I am saying nothing, except it is hard to help and give advice when the fish aren't biting. I only had four little fish myself. Sorry Jacko, but Uncle Ray Owen did help you out first thing.

I think Ray saw my greeting and stepped in quick.

I will say, just to make Jacko blush. How I wish all 13 year olds were as pleasant, well mannered and as well behaved as Jacko. I think some of the young posters on MD could learn a lot from him, patience and a bit of tolerance being two of the lessons.

You keep asking the questions Jacko, and if I don't know the answers I know a few good men and true who will. This young man is worth helping.

Nice to hear you had a great day out despite the fish not wanting to play.By the sounds of it UNCLE GEOFF has taken you under his wing and I am sure you will be spending more time with him.We need more people like Geoff to help the young ones as often as not their dads don`t fish and they easily get fed up trying to catch tiddlers with their 20 Woolworth special complete angler outfit consisting of 100yards of 15lb line on a deep spool,a size 8 hook and a float that ressembles a small pike bung.I often walk my local river bank with a pocket full of bits and pieces (small hooks,fine line and assorted shot) to help the kids.
