Ulverston canal ( Easter Sunday )

Hiya all,

Fished the canal on Sunday...I went armed to the teeth..I had originally planned to fish Urswick Tarn, usually i get the place to myself..Not on Sunday...Must of been about 4 or 5 anglers...All pegs spoken for..

I arrived at the canal about 7-30am...Put out 2 carp rods 16mm marine halibut pellet on 1 rod and pepperami on the other...Both in pva bags full of pellet...Had a feeder rod out with brown crumb caster and red maggot...I was convinced i wouldnt blank...I blanked..The only thing i caught was a slight tan...

Oh well..I suppose it makes the days when you do bag up that bit sweeter..

Still Ulverston canal must be one of the most beautiful canals in England.

One of those days when you just cant put your finger on why you couldnt catch I guess!unlucky mate, Im sure you'll bag up next time you go!

Looks really nice I think I will have a ride down in summer when I'm next in Kendal.[8D]
I don't think it was carping weather really, up north.
Very cold nights and bright sunny days.
Nice weather to be out and about though.
