Tring - Marsworth Reservoir

I fancy having a crack at this venue this summer - can anyone give me any ideas on the best way to fish it, in particular is it in effect a feeder only venue for the bream, or are there other methods worth trying?

I'm not after anything specific, just a nice day out and a few bites.

Hi Spanky,MARSWORTH reservoir is the one you refer to ,is best fished from the canal side of the reservoir and yes open end feeder or method feeder do the business .Tring anglers now control the fishing and issue tickets on the bank.hope this helps

im going back a few years so may have changed but I fished here quite a few times, always fished the feeder thinking that was the way forward. Then watched a guy (claimed he was an AT columnist) have 40lb of roach on the waggler fishing corn. this was on the causeway between marsworth and startops.

As a complete aside (and i apologise for forgetting his christian name) I spent a biteless afternoon on Marsworth chatting to a known specialist angler (surname Chivers) who subsequently drowned whilst fishing. I was only young at the time but was a bit starstruck by meeting a guy with pictures in a national publication who took the time to go through rigs, tactics etc. RIP fella.

oh and sarcastic thanks to the scrote who nicked the speakers out of the back of my old Mk4 cortina in the car park, i hope you got your Karma!
