Tourney Pro Topkits.

Hello All,

I have a chance of a couple of top kits from an Air Z. what I need to find out is, would they fit my old original tourney pro and if so would they inhance it or otherwise. Im hoping they would be ok as they are at tourney price. My fishing is mostly midlands commercials.

They will fit, I still use toolkits from my even older Tournament 410 on my Airity (same mandrel as Air). I doubt they will make much difference to a 15 year old pole though, stiffness comes from the middle sections. I expect you would probably see more performance benefit from e.g. a generic no. 5 or 6 but no problem if they are the same price as the tourney ones, I also use the generic top 3's with no noticeable difference (maybe because I remove the no. 1).

Yep, as said, they’ll fit, doubt you will notice much difference in them and TP topkits.

Thanks LouisD, Thicko here but are you saying that generic 5 and 6 would enhance performance, if so you would have saved me a few bob as my 5/6 are certainly wearing a bit thin.
