Total Fishing ACA match at The Glebe

[MALC]

I know that a few of us (at least 8 that i know of) from here are fishing the above match on May 29th at The Glebe.[8)][8)]

And as it's an unknown venue to all of us (so nobody has an inside advantage) how's about us lot get together and have a little 5 winner take all pool between our selfs on the day.[][]


I'll be the first to say yep no problem i'm up for it []

Golfs a game for people who can't catch fish

Malc, I've fished the Glebe a few times and depending which lake you go on the tactics vary a little bit. If you go on the first one called the Banana Lake, you only fish from one side and the feeder to just short of the opposite side picks up lots of Chub and small Carp.

Sweetcorn and small pieces of meat usually do the trick on all the lakes and maggot fished up in the water is quite good depending on how warm it is.

one of our members won a match using red kidney beans on the hook, he ended up with 30lbs of fish more than anyone else. [:0]

The match is an 80 pegger with pegs spread over the following pools ;
Pool One, Uglies, and Pools 4, 5, 6, and 7.

If you have any info on any of the above i'm sure we would all be glad of any help you can supplie.

Personally i fished Pool 7 last year with the RADDAA lads and realy enjoyed the place.

Just copied the following update for the Glebe as fish stocks are being changed.

we are removing the small fish (skimmers,roach,gudg) and in pools6,7 we have replaced with lots of small 6oz carp,

pools 4,5 will receive the carp that are too big for pool 1 (5lb+)

stocks,

pool 1, carp ave 3lb, barbel ave 3lb, skimmers ave 1lb+.

uglies, carp ave 4lb. pools 4,5 carp ave 4lb.

pools 6,7, carp >5lb but lots of small ones.

weights,

pool 1 40lb+, uglies 60lb+, pool6,7 50lb+ pools6,7 40lb+

methods,

feeder tight to far bank, pole. meat,corn, paste.
best advice i can give, keep it simple, dont try to do to much, dont fish too far out 11m max.DONT GIVE UP, all these weights can be done in last couple of hours.

nice link to glebe and it looks a nice place. got geepsters letter on saturday and 60lbs + of 3lbs carp is going some! []

but with you around we'd be bloody lucky to get 6lbs!
