Mark,
What sort of venues are you looking to tackle with your proposed new pole and what is your Budget. Will this be a first purchase or an upgrade?
Give us some details and we'll see if we can help.[:D]

I have about 600 to spend. I will be using the pole as an all-rounder but mainly on canals.

I have a medusa and use it for general course work especially canals. I have only used it at 16 mtrs twice. At this length as with most 16 mtr poles it is fine for an hour but after a 5 hr match it becomes heavy. As most of the canals around my way are 12-13 mtrs the medusa is great. I have compared the 711 to the medusa at Nathans tackle in Derby, both handle similarly at 13 mtrs and the 711 is only 14.5 mtrs. The Medusa spares are cheaper than the 711 and that extra 1.5 mtrs does come in handy now and again.
