Hi All,

I’ve got a really old Shakespeare Xcede Match 300 rod which has a hole in the end section which is threaded. I presume this threaded hole in the end is for a quiver tip and was wondering if there are any out there I could purchase.

Thanks in advance.

My first thoughts were it's for a swing tip. However, it does seem that you can get screw in quiver tips. Everyday's a school day.

The problem with screw in quiver tips is that there isn't enough eyes on them. When casting, the line wraps round the top runner on the tip and can pull the runner off. If you are going to go down that route, then whip on another 3 or 4 small runners so you get a nice, even curve to the tip.
