I love xmas, I’m very lucky, to have family, with kids n grandkids very close to home, so we all enjoy it together,, but I realise it’s also a very hard time of year, for people who’s not as fortunate as some of us, who’ve lost loved ones or got no family to enjoy it with, you see adverts, with families sat round a table, with huge piles of food, all talking n laughing. It’s no wonder, some people hate this time of year, or get depressed with it all.
With the technology of Video calls, whats app, snapchat, Facetime etc it aint as bad as not being able to see or contact loved ones no matter where in the world they are. We can all have a good time and not have to put up with trying Subtle hints to get rid of em
I hate the fact that even this government thinks that it's important that people travel to meet, at the worst time of year for travelling, when they know it will increase the numbers of transmissions of Covid, and the number of deaths. It's a religious festival, and doesn't require travel to acknowledge (not even to a church).
I hate the fact that so many people think the same, yet the vast majority are not practicing Christians.
Its great for kids but its really just one day that some get so carried away with its unreal.
Bit like bonfire night fine for one night but why do we have to suffer fireworks going off for a month before and again after its gone.
I suppose there will be little in the form of foreign holiday adverts appearing this year.
