I've visited Stourhead a few times, seen shoals of small roach and rudd and some good tench.

Parts of the Dorset Stour can be scenic and I always found the middle Thames at places like Goring very pleasant.

If we try to explain why we go fishing it is almost impossible, the photos so far do a much better job.

Spot on 👍🏻

Aesthetics are such a big part of fishing for me. If I can I always try to fish for nice looking species in nice surroundings as it just heightens the experience.

Bit like having a proper pint in a nice pub!

The top photo is a 3 minute walk from my front door. The bottom one is a 15min drive. Both photos were taken last summer.

Even some commercials are nice places to spend some time, Stafford Moor Tanners Lake is the first picture and the Glebe Lake 1 in the second
