Has Frank had to self isolate? who's picking the team?
Makes no sense playing Hudson-Odoi and James without either Abraham or Giroud to take advantage of the crosses they provide. :nono:

Big boys are running scared of the part timers.
Long may it continue.

VAR didn't have to review the red card, so blatant, Stevie Wonder would have given it!

Full times are in for the 3PM KOs.
3 Man Utd V Leicester City 2

In an entertaining match the teams went in level at the break after Rashford opened the scoring on 19 minutes, only for Vardy to head in on 34 minutes to even the contest back up. Leicester took the lead on 60 minutes when Madison tapped in. The Utd fans not in the best of spirits following their recent run got behind their side and welcomed the introduction of Mata (for Dalot) on 70 minutes and it was the Spaniard who turned the game, setting up Greenwood for his first of the season since coming back to fitness then grabbing the late winner himself on 87 minutes with neat finish nto the far corner.

0 Leeds Utd V Chelsea 0

Chelsea did dominate this one for long periods and had It not been for some great goalkeeping and at times last ditch defending from Leeds, could have easily took the points. Whilst it has halted Chelseas blip, they will still be thinking that 3 points would have been a much better and perhaps a fairer outcome given their play. Leeds I am sure, will be hoping for a share of the points in the game featuring the two above them, in order to keep in touch with both Villa and GTFC.

4 Everton V Stoke City 1

Stoke seemed to shock Everton into life when on 2 minutes Vokes put a chance on a plate for Mclean who simply knocked home. The lead was short lived though, when Mina headed in on 9 minutes and Calvert –Lewin got in on the act 2 minutes later. After the break it was all Everton and Bernard half volleyed a loose ball in on 50 minutes following a corner and then Davis completed a share of the scoring on 79 minutes following a well worked free kick.

Early news from Villa park.....
Villa denied a penalty after 5 mins.
GTFC having the best of early possession though.

Full Time at Villa Park

0 Aston Villa V GTFC 2

The game could have been different had what looked a good claim for a penalty not been denied by referee Atkinson after VAR had been consulted. Villa’s tight defence was breached by Rudzi on 19 minutes and after GTFC had mounted wave after wave of attacks following the delay for the penalty claim scrutiny. GTFC ended the half on top and continued much in the same way after the break, but with little of anything clear cut. The changing point in the game came on 68 minutes when Hourihane should have levelled, but dragged his shot wide after good work from Wesley and with Maloney looking beaten, scrambling to his left. GTFC promptly went up the other end and King rounded Heaton to convert and all but some Villa pressure towards the end, seal the win for GTFC and put them within a point of the league leaders and in doing so, set the seed for what could be a fairy tale season.

So, how today’s result affect the league table:

Full Times are in:

Chelsea 4 V Man Utd 0

Chelsea survived a first half hour of Utd pressure, where Rashford had hit post and then bar and where Fred should have scored but blazed over from 8 yards. Willian hit Utd with a sucker punch 10 minutes before the break when finished well after good work from Pulisic. It was Pulisic who ended a move with a good finish just after the break, then Hudson-odoi added a third two minutes later after Williams had misjudged a bounce as Chelsea went route one. Hudson-Odoi got his second on 86 minutes and ended another miserable day for Utd.

Leicester City 0 V Stoke City 0

Leicester edged the possession in this one and perhaps should nicked it late on when Perez looked to have done the hard work in beating his man, but pulled his shot wide. This was a highlight in a game where Stoke will be the happier of the two sides, that didn’t offer much.

Leeds Utd 0 V Aston Villa 0

Villa had taken their full allocation and along with the usual Leeds support, made for a lively atmosphere and In a game where both sets of fans had little to cheer. It was a case of nothing lost for the Yorkshire side in this one as they took points from the Villa in a season where so few other teams have. A draw was about right over the 90 minutes as both sides shared the possession and couldn’t carve a final chance out of well organised defences.

GTFC 4 V Everton 1

Everton broke almost from the kick off and Calvert –Lewin finished some blistering Everton build up play that had taken the hosts by surprise. A major talking point of the game came on 8 minutes, when Godden was knocked in an off the ball incident, which saw him come off injured and replaced by Doyle. VAR did look at the incident and although coverage showed Digne had appeared to rake Godden’s Achilles, referee Dean took no further action. Doyle showed however the quality in the GTFC squad by being a good substitute for Godden when he levelled midway through the first half. King ensured that the side with title ambitions went in ahead at the break when he headed beyond Pickford from a corner. After Bernard dragged back Rudzi soon after the break, Woods converted the free kick to set GTFC well on their way for another 3 points. GTFC looked to finish the game in style and when Baker found himself well forward and unmarked at the far post, he volleyed in a good Rudzi cross on 79 minutes.

So, how today's results affect the league table, with 4 games to go.

Great result
Mike Dean and VAR, another case of a junior ref not wanting to upset the senior ref.
Blatant red card ?
Anyway, we will enjoy the view from the top, for now ?
