A perfect illustration of why summer is so much nicer than winter, well autumn once the leaves drop. Same swim in July and November one certainly looks somewhat nicer than the other!

To be fair I think the pic I posted on the last page was taken in November, a slightly more drab pic taken 1st Feb 2022, but still cracking fishing.

I forget the date of the solstice but it's around the time the rivers open, so downhill from there for those who like to fish evenings depending on which way you look at it. I've realised though, the tomatoes ain't even red yet, and I always say, when the tomatoes are red, the Barbel are fed.
Summer solstice is 21st June....my late mum was born on that date and was promptly named June.....still miss her...
