I had a half hearted mid afternoon session swimming the stream today. It was only 17 1/2 degrees when I set out but it felt a lot warmer when walking down to the river due to the sky clearing and the sun blazing down! I had a good miles walk to my first swim where I caught a dace or a chublet a trott. That was ok but they were not what I was after so I walked back upstream dropping into the river as I did so attempting to catch a better stamp of fish. I kept catching the same little fish until I finally found a pod of decent chub. I finnished up with four chub just like the one in the picture and then it was back to dace and chublets...which was my Q to do a hoffmans.
The only picture I bothered to take....
