Wonderful to know, but you didn't add the bit about them growing so fast that they become susceptible to breaking and falling over with little or no warning.....! Spent 3 hours cutting up two trees today that had fallen down for no apparent reason at all and had blocked our river access track. Absolute pain in the backside at times....

That's a pain alright. They do grow pretty vigorously but the Roach & other fish like to hang around them.

Not when they are laid out across the bank......lol. It's the crack willows that are the problem, so I'm expecting another chain saw session after today's gale.."😳 I suppose we should be grateful that at they at least fell on to the bank and not into the river...they are a complete pain to shift then.....
