Yet another drop. Gotta wonder if this team could even catch Covid-19, let alone a cricket ball

The current England setup is an absolute joke. I don't care how destructive in ODI's Buttler can be, he is a rubbish keeper and Foakes (the best gloveman in England) should be playing.

There was no excuse for not taking that chance, I mean the ball was in the gloves for gods sake.

When I was playing at schools level we had a coach who deducted any runs the opposition player scored from our fielding mistakes, if it was a dropped catch it was the total that batsman went on the score, this was deducted from our batting score. Incidently two from the school went on to play for England.

Buttler will have to get a double ton to offset these mistakes, which he wont so bloody pick a wicket keeper who is the best keeper.

Butler has stole a test career based off potential perceived from ODI form. Got a jammy knack of scoring runs every time he’s on the verge of being dropped. Seems he’s keeping form correlated with his batting form which isnt ideal when his batting form is of most the time. All went wrong when they took the gloves off bairstow when he was one of the best keeper batsman around in terms of both disciplines. Now they’ve ended up with a bang average keeper batsman and a bang average batsman as a result. Got to be time for foakes after this tour surely. Probably missed the best of him now at pushing 29 but better late than never I guess and at least he has a few caps of experience already.

Foakes is a superb keeper, lets face it, he was taught by the best keeper in the world, (James Foster...) and Foakes brings a good batting pedigree to the game.. I'm not enamoured by Buttler or Bairstow's record in test cricket... i'd place them as "okay" but not outstanding... at the moment there's only 3 players in the England team of test calibre and two of those are well past their best and and they are Root, Anderson, and Broad... Spoons needs to look to clean out some of the non performers... and to be frank, take a look at his own performance as coach

The fielding in general has not been great and the team selection for me was poor, we choose 4 Bowlers that were very similar, if what they did wasn't working we had to turn to either a part time spinner in Root or a very good bowler in Stokes who has played no Cricket for over a year, not the best situation to find yourself in. Personally I would have taken Wood over either Robinson or Woakes as he offers something different. As for batting, really don't know where to start but we need to at least try to avoid the follow on

In all honesty our team selection is poor, but the biggest problem is, there's no one else... I'd be inclined to give Liam Livingstone a go, although he's getting on a bit, Foakes would be in the squad, and I'd be looking at giving Essex's Sam Cooke and Jamie Porter to bulk out the bowlers... but then as an Essex Lifer, I'm biased... thinking on, Dan Lawrence has had a spell and did okay he bowls and bats

Well. That’s a good start. Not.
I can see BT sport losing a lot of viewers
