Text Sent To Landline.

My sister tried to send me a text earlier but sent it to our landline in error.

I'd done it before. It can be rather amusing. It is 'read' out by what seems to be a female Stephen Hawking. The voice lacks any feel, emphasis and often gets pronunciation wrong. []

I replied by text to her landline.

If you've never done it, have a go. If you include a few expletives, it has almost the same comedy value as old people swearing. [:T]

yeah i know all about texts to landlines...............i had one sent to mine a couple of years back and it woke the whole household up......it was sent at 3am!! [!]

Unfortunately the little trumpet fanfare you used to get when you picked up the phone seems ot have gone. That added to the experience. [:T]
