Hey all,
can you recommend a subitle float for a lake which is stocked with small carp to 10lb , roach to 2lb , perch to 3lb ,tench to 5lb and bream going to 5lb.
i need quite a bulky float i have a 3bb one which the sight is very difficult to see far away.i have aeven bigger one at 4aaa. so will you alls recommend me one. i cannot ledger/feeder because i do not have a rod of that kind but i do have a rod which is very cheap and flexible lol.
by the way the lake goes to 5ft.

Hi GF,

If I had to choose it would have to be the Wind Beater for distance work on a lake being sensitive and yet easy to see and for close in work, up to 40ft, the Drennan Stillwater Blue has to be the one. (my all time favourite)

I notice that Roger stocks the Wind Beater and a float very similar to the Still Water Blue icon_smile.gif

hi goin_fishing
it is posible to ledger/feeder with most of the cheaper type rods
this can be done in one of two ways

1- have a threaded top eye put on to take screw in s/tips or quivers

2- use a butt idicator or similar device. the one i preferis the
sidewinder i think there one of the best & most sensitive
esp if it is windy
DONT -try going to heavy on a still water ill very rarely go above
1/2oz feeder or bomb

tight lines.
