Copied off Total Fishing forum:
ITV teletext are running a vote at the moment on page 347 should fishing be banned. Apparently animal rights campaigners have new research that suggests fish feel pain. Text 8899 with the response 'Teletext no' to register your vote. Is there no end to the media speculation!!!

This really angered me last night when i saw it. I nearly went n kicked the tv until it dawned on me that its a nice brand new one. Took my anger out by having an affair with stella instead. A couple of stellas just to help calm me down. :)

On this line of thinking our local radio station Northants 96 took a poll on this question on their website at koko.com

Is angling cruel?

Results:-

YES 38%

NO 62%

so Northampton listeners seem in favour of angling.

P.S. does anybody sneak "extra" votes in, in their favour or are you all honest?

Phoned mine thru. Had to use my own phone though, cos work phones won't ring those premium numbers.

If this is meant to be a poll, I wonder what happens to the money from the calls and the texts? Surely this is just a way for someone to get rich quick at the expense of our hobbies.

I've just voted online (thanks Madmat and welcome to MDs btw).

At the moment it's

Yes = 25%

So it's looking ggod for the Anglers.
