I'm no gambler, but I reckon the GCSE and A level results this year will break all records for the amount of straight A's (or equivalent) awarded.

I know its probably the fairest way, getting teachers to grade but there will be struggling schools under pressure to deliver good grades. Giving little Timmy a B+ in feminism sensitivity studies will be oh so tempting for Miss Smith if it means not being harangued in a meeting to explain why grades are low.
