Super glue

Does superglue erode elastic? I’ve just used some to repair my catty and wondered if it will hold up.

I've found its ok, but the weather gets to it and it eventually becomes flaky / loosens or cracks. I haven't found it directly impacts my elastic itself but has also never lasted that long.... binding say the elastic to the handle.....the new Bostick 30 second glue is decent

Try mixing the glue with baking soda, it makes it stronger.

I've got cattys older that you mate.. Fair enough it's had 4 new laccy's and 3 new handles but it still works well.
