Summer barbel fishing

Can any1 give me tips on how to catch barbel in the summer. i am in desperate as i have not caught a summer barbel.
EVER!!!!!

Not knowing what river/s you are fishing I would suggest that you concentrated your efforts on the period from 5am till midnightish fish with big baits like meat. You could always prebait the swim with hemp then start fishing it after say an hour. I have found that this works on the bigger rivers like the severn but not on the smaller rivers for some reason. This may be because the fish are moreprone to wandering rather than take up residence in a swim.

i reckon you go to hambleton fisheries and use lucheon meat and you'll get one in the end but you'll have carp aswell
