suffolk waters

hi folks i am new to this site next week end me and two buds are going to hit suffolk waters can any one give me any tips on fishing this venue and wot kind of bait to use we are going for the carp of course ha ha ha please help as it has been two seasons since the last time i whent fishing and cought a nice 17 half pound mirror at bowmans at hatfield near watford help[]
