Stick Float Rod and closed face reel

Hi Guys

Im looking for a rod just for stick float fishing, dont want to spend to much only fish the rivers about 12 times a year, hopefully light and about 14ft not really bothered about make or age.....Any recommendations

Also a closed face reel to go with it..i know a few websites do the Daiwa one for 42, sounds like a good price.

I've been using the 14ft Daiwa Aqualite waggler rod for all my river stick float work for a season now and wouldn't swap it.Very light and slim and you should pick one up for around 80 quid.It's a 'medium' action which suits where I fish. If you wanted a very light actioned rod then check out the MAP Ultra 2 14ft light float.

Daiwa 125m for the reel. Had one for years and never let me down.

Ditto with the 125M its probably the best and most reliable closed face I have ever owned.
