I’ve got a mate who is interested in starting up with his lad, fortunately my parents have just had a big clear out and have donated some tackle towards the cause.
This afternoon I’ve set about creating a little starter kit for the pair of them out of spare bits I have and have compiled the following.

2 x 12” match rods
2 x 2500 size reels with 4lb line
Landing net handle and net
Large carryall
Various banksticks and rod rests
2 x fishing chairs

Terminal tackle
Floats
Hooks and hooks to nylon
Shot
Hooklength line
Plummets
Swivels
A Preston hooklength box with around 10 hooklengths

Tub of 2mm feed pellets
Tub of 4mm feed pellets
Tin of corn

Can anyone think of anything I may have forgot?

Sounds like a nice way to get people started fishing, hopefully they have fun with it.
Maybe a bait box as some venues don't allow tins by the bank. Otherwise sounds fairly comprehensive.

I don't personally use em' because I rarely bring fish out of the net, But I'd suggest a carp mat for a beginners due to them usually being heavy handed and not being able to handle the fish as well as more experienced anglers.

A couple of those bags of half empty groundbait that we all seem to collect. Oh, and a good luck card.
