With a lot of film and TV reviews going on here I thought it was worth highlighting a neat little feature of the MDs forum software: The Spoiler Alert.

It is very easy to use. Just type the part you want everyone to see as usual, e.g.

This film was very good. Well worth a watch.

Then click the 3 little dots at the top of the post area, followed by the Spoiler icon 1614259978236.png that appears below them -

Supply a Spoiler Title if you wish e.g "Details of film ending" and it will appear in your post like this:

Enter the 'secret stuff' between the two tags e.g.

1614260458660.png

And people will see this until they click to reveal more.

There's a great twist at the end. It turns out that the duck did it!

Simples!

This is a good idea, cheers. I usually don't mind reading spoilers myself and will still enjoy a film most of the time, unless it's a really key twist given away, but understand other people might not have the same tolerance to spoilers as myself. I don't think I have given many spoilers in talking about films but can often say 'nothing happens' or similar when it's an art house film, like Paris, Texas.
