Can't see why not mate I will be getting mi self one I've just been put onto a watewr that I have now to spod to get a result,

get into cash generator and get an old beachcaster thats what i use

That would do nicely as it happens. Anything around 4.5/5.5lb test would suffice.

I bought a very cheap beachcaster rod several years ago. I can't remember where I bought it from but it only cost me 14 including delivery! Does the job beautifully.
