Walk on by, by The Stranglers, is often voted the best cover of all time. I have a copy on white vinyl, came free with the album "Black and white". Songs have been covered since forever, some good, some awful, here are a couple from an "artist" who doesn't really take himself seriously. Enjoy!

Walk on By is a blumming fantastic cover. This Mortal Coil have a few I like.

I only really like the above that I posted, it’s a bit ethereal with the blurred vocals, because my Finnish mate Fanu sampled it for a DnB song called Siren Song, worth listening.

This one’s a cover of Neil Young, almost prefer the original though

Good thread, there's loads I like.

Since first hearing it on an album titled America Salutes The Beatles I have been enchanted by the cover of All My Lovin' by Suzy Bogguss and Chet Atkins. Something about Atkins' guitar contribution just raises the standard above the ordinary cover.

^^ Soft Cell version is a bit of a banger too.

One of quite a few Italo Disco covers, got to love the awful Italo vocals.
